Teenager Violence
Teenager group is a specific age group in the society and they bear the responsibility for the future of our society construction. Nowadays, they have the chance to live in better and better environment for study, playing, and traveling and so on. However, there are some teenagers misled to crimes and juvenile delinquency comes into our life more and more with the economic and social development. Teenager crimes are not only harmful to themselves, their parents and other people around but also to the future of our society. So people pay more and more attention to the terrible social problem.
At present, there are some features for juvenile delinquency. Firstly, teenager crimes occur with blindness and randomness. As we all know, teenagers are not mature on psychology and physiology so they are not as rational as adults. They are lack of the ability to judge the truth when encountering complicated affairs. They are aggressive, extreme, with week rational will. If induced, they will commit crimes without thinking about the serious consequences. Secondly, most teenager crimes are mainly to steal or rob others’ property. In order to show off and buy luxury items, they always steal or rob from others when they can not get what they want in proper way. Thirdly, most teenager crimes are gang crimes. They have a leader to direct crimes. They like gang fight and if one of them is bullied by others, they would go fight together. And people often can see a group of teenagers beat one young man. Fourthly, teenager crimes have become adult-oriented, more intelligent and violent. Teenagers have strong ability to imitate and strong desire to explore. They like to imitate some action of committing crimes from films and TV and they also know how to use advanced tools to achieve goals. At the same time, they are very cruel and they can consider killing a person as playing a game. Fifthly, younger and younger teenagers commit crimes. Some kids start to steal about 10 years and when they are about 13 or 14 years, they can commit “big” crimes. And most of them play truant, leave home or live a vagrant life.
Why more and more teenagers are prone to commit crimes? The following three reasons can answer the question. First, teenagers are misled by violent and pornography books, TV show films. Second, unhealthy families cause teenager crimes. Some parents have misconduct ions in front of kids then they will imitate parents. In addition, some parents impact too much pressure on children or dote kids too much or seldom care kids, which help kids to go astray. Third, lagging educational system can not help teenagers grow well. Some schools do not offer legal education so many students do not know what illegal actions are. Besides, many teachers hold bias on some students whom they think “bad students”. Even criminals can be educated well in prison, why teachers should discriminate and give up some “bad” students?
Teenagers have potential and they are the backbones of our society in future. Juvenile delinquencies do harm to all people and our society so it is the time for us to do something isn’t it?
